Welcome to The Brothers Public House, an intimate acoustic music venue owned and run by Pat and Eamonn McKernan from Belturbet, County Cavan, Ireland. The lads took over a disused premises two year ago and are gradually transforming it into a  destination venue for quality drinks and music. Our pint of Guinness is as good as you’ll find anywhere, and we have an impressive selection of Irish whiskeys. Our upstairs lounge can be booked for small private functions.

The Brothers feature live acoustic music each night from Wednesday until Sunday. No television, no poker machines, it’s a locals pub where friends old and new can socialise.

Pat McKernan has been a familiar figure on the Melbourne Irish scene for many years now. He has played at countless pub gigs, weddings and corporate functions and has toured as a guitarist with Irish music icon Finbar Furey and with comedian Brendan Grace. His accountant brother Eamonn arrived in Melbourne 6 years ago. Always on the lookout for adventure and a challenge, Eamonn and Pat came up with the idea of The Brothers Public House as a fine place for musical drinking. What more would you want!
